We were delighted with the efforts you have made
to create the lovely cottage atmosphere.
The furniture is beautiful, the kitchen is very well equipped.
Le Bois de la Velle is situated approximately 3 kms from the village of Viry.
Viry is a small rural village, there are no shops, but it does have a Romanesque
church, with a 16th Century stain-glass window. There is the possibility to fish
along the banks of the little river Arconce which flows around the village on its
way to Charolles 7 kms to the west.
Charolles is a pretty market town, the birth place of the world famous white
Charolais cattle. In the town you will find top quality restaurants, cafes,
boulangeries-patisseries, chocolatiers and supermarchés. Something for all your
holiday needs and indulgences! There is a traditional french market held on Wednesday
mornings in the town centre, but don't dally as it ends at 12noon! The tourist office
is situated in the town centre too. www.institut-charolais.com
